OD4D at the UN World Data Forum
Open Data for Development (OD4D) and our partners are happy to be participating in the UN World Data Forum happening from January 15-18 in Cape Town, South Africa. This forum is the first of its kind and will bring together data and statistics experts from around the world.
This forum offers a number of plenary sessions, break-out spaces, innovations labs, panel discussions and workshops. OD4D and our partners are participating in some of the panel discussions, and we encourage you to join us! These include a panel looking at opportunities and challenges related to data principles and standards, the case for long-term investment in civil registration and vital statistics (CRVS) systems, and building consensus on the role for national statistics in open data initiatives.
